Life Lately

1. Marathon training officially started this week! With the upcoming trip to Portland this weekend Drew and I tweaked the schedule a bit so our long, slow distance run (LSD) falls on Saturday instead of Sunday (mostly so we can watch the Olympic Marathon at 6 am on Sunday). Only 9 miles this week however I haven't run over 6 since July 14 so we will see how it goes!
Recap thus far:
Tuesday - 3 miles easy
Wednesday - 5 miles "hills"
Thursday - 4 miles speedwork

2. Olympics, Olympics, Olympics! On Tuesday I was able to watch the USA field hockey team defeat Argentina 1 - 0 for the first time ever in Olympic history. What might have been even better was that one of my former teammates captured this wonderful shot of our coach who was watching the game in London! Her two nieces, Katie and Julia Reinprecht, are both on team! I may or may not have googled "how to make the US field hockey team" after watching this game. It's never too late to become an Olympian, right?

3. I am in love with Boot Camp! Maybe love is too strong of a term. Thanks to our fearless leader Joel, there are some pretty awesome action shots up on Facebook. And now we can all take note of my poor push up form. Someday I'll be doing "real" push ups in my sleep, ha.

Have a great weekend y'all! I'm heading up to Maine for the MUMFORD & SONS Stopover Tour on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is going to be the best!

  1. I am so jealous of your marathon skills. I started running after my son was born, that's how I dropped the baby weight but I totally fell off the wagon and I MISS it badly!
